Biography
Vadim Uskov is the founder and main inspiration of the law firm Uskov & Partners. Vadim has the status of legal attorney, as well as trademark attorney of the Russian Federation in the “Trademarks and Service Marks” category.
Vadim is a member of the Chamber of Patent Attorneys of the Russian Federation, the St. Petersburg College of Patent Attorneys, and the International Federation of Patent Attorneys (FICPI). The legal community has more than once recognized Vadim's merits in the field of jurisprudence: Vadim has an honorary diploma from the St. Petersburg Bar Association, a medal “For Worthy Representative of Russian Jurisprudence”. World Trademark Review recommended Vadim as an expert in the field of intellectual property in the Russian Federation, noting that he is “relentlessly pursuing violators.”
Vadim takes a sophisticated approach to all client projects. Vadim's experience and current practice covers the entire range of services presented on our website, including judicial protection of intellectual property objects and handling cases of unfair competition. Management of clients’ trademark portfolios, including risk modeling (diversion analysis), as well as support for franchising is an important part of Vadim's work.
Vadim regularly teaches refresher courses for judges, conducts author's seminars on the topic of legal brand protection , lectures at the law faculty of St. Petersburg State University, and also participates in various conferences in the field of intellectual property and gives comments on radio and television. Vadim is the author of several dozen publications. His comments have been included in two collections of International Comparative Legal Guides, Copyright and Franchise.
Prior to founding the law firm Uskov & Partners , Vadim worked in the Naryshkin & Partners Bar Association as the head of the copyright department.
Vadim has a higher legal education (diploma received at the St. Petersburg Humanitarian University of Trade Unions with the degree in Jurisprudence and at the Russian Institute of Intellectual Property with a degree in Legal Protection and Use of Intellectual Property). Vadim also has a pedagogical education in the field of history and social studies from the St. Petersburg Herzen State Pedagogical University.
