Biography
Mikhail Rodionov is a partner at Uskov & Partners and director of the company's Moscow office. He joined our team in the mid-2000s, and Mikhail's total work experience in the field of intellectual property is over 20 years. Mikhail has the status of patent attorney of the Russian Federation in the Computer programs, Databases, Topology of Integrated Circuits category.
Mikhail represents clients in arbitration courts and courts of general jurisdiction in cases of protection of copyright and related rights, exclusive rights to the trademark and company name, early termination of legal protection of the trademark due to non-use, in domain disputes. He also carries out representation in the Chamber for Patent Disputes and the bodies of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation. Mikhail provides support to clients in structuring transactions related to the emergence and disposition of exclusive rights to various results of intellectual activity and means of individualization. He draws up application documentation for state registration of computer programs and databases and maintains correspondence with the registering authority.
Prior to joining Uskov & Partners, Mikhail worked as a lawyer in film and television production organizations.
Mikhail holds a PhD degree in Law. The topic of his Ph.D. thesis was “The emergence and protection of copyright in the creation of films.” Mikhail was an applicant for the degree at the Russian State Institute of Intellectual Property. He received his higher legal education at the Moscow Humanitarian University where he was also a postgraduate student.
Mikhail speaks English.
